To help me help you faster, please include: which device, which iOS version, which version of CALCULIER (shown in the app's info screen), and what you were doing when the problem appeared.
From what you type in. The length change is divided by half an inch and multiplied by the effect setting. CALCULIER adds the result to the standard lie to show how the club feels, and subtracts it to get the static target. The full calculation is written out in the app's info screen.
In practice the effect falls between 0.5° and 1.0° per half inch, depending on head shape and swing. That is why CALCULIER always shows that span alongside the value you picked. If you are unsure, take the middle and talk the span through with your club builder.
Sets live on your device only, so deleting the app takes them with it. A set deleted by accident can be brought straight back with Undo on the sets screen.
No. CALCULIER works out what a length change does to the lie angle. Whether your head can take the bend, and whether the number suits your swing, is for your club builder to judge.
